Permit Compliance Management Tools

Every business has data critical to its survival and growth. Companies use financial accounting software to track and protect their monies and to manage their business operations. Not all companies in regulated industries are as careful with regulatory compliance or resource base data.

Natural resource companies, particularly in the mining industry, are very heavily regulated. Keeping track of stipulation and compliance monitoring requirements and repeating events, required report submittal dates, permit renewal application dates, and reclamation progress and bond sinking fund status is difficult. Too often these requirements are missed because someone was too busy to notice.

Databases and spreadsheets have different purposes. Spreadsheets, such as Excel®, are good tools for analyzing moderate amounts of data.
